Red Bar Painting

I started studying graphic design at Eina School in Barcelona. After working for several Design Study's, it was at that time when I realized that wasn't my path. I moved forward, I joined Javier Corberò etching workshop as an apprentice. After that I worked in different etching workshops as Joan Barbera or Taller Vallirana art workshop, working for several painting artists as Miró, Tapies, Richard Hamilton. Specially Jorge Castillo who encouraged me to start painting, not just as an amateur which I had been doing but as a professional. I've got quite an influence as a painter during all there years working with etching. From the beginning there has been a duality in my paintings: cover and uncover, light and dark, abstraction and figuration... This is the reflection of the work done throughout years, out of freedom and intuition, to the search for own style. I'm aware, and experience taught me, is in the sight of the other where your painting enrich.
