My name is MG Stout, and I am a self-taught artist with a background in philosophy. Over the past 20 years, I have committed myself to painting as a means of self-expression and community connection. My journey into the world of art began as a deeply personal endeavor to work through depression. Over time, it evolved into a passionate pursuit of creating joyful and meaningful works that resonate with me and others. My inspiration stems from a rich tapestry of influences, including abstract expressionists, philosophical inquiries, Dr. Seuss, street art, and Dadaism. Each piece I create is a vibrant fusion of styles and ideas, reflecting my exploration of life's profound questions and capturing the essence of what it means to be human. Philosophical inquiries have always intrigued me, especially those revolving around the purpose of life, the nature of existence, and the human condition. These themes are integral to my work, as I strive to translate complex philosophical concepts into visual forms that are accessible and engaging to a broad audience.
