About The Artwork

The missing details of this sculpture give the imagination an opportunity finish it independently. I work with the theme of aesthetics of the rioons. On February 6, 2023, a terrible earthquake occurred in Turkey, my family was forced to escape and leave this region away from the epicenter. This is how I ended up in the Archaeological Museum of Antalya, where I was struck by the greatness and scale of the original ancient sculptures. I felt very strong feelings! It felt like a huge stream of Love pouring into my heart. The ancient era opened the door for me to an endless source of inspiration! The canons of art went down in history, but continue to unite all the peoples of the world. Therefore, it is important for me to establish a dialogue between the cultures of various countries during this turbulent time. I create works based on beauty, which inspired artists, musicians and poets of all times and peoples. The new Archaic project is a graphic series created in 2023 on evidence of ancient artifacts and archaeological sites in Turkey and Greece. The collection uses gilding, copper and a unique pigment PbK11 - iron oxide providing granulation of paints.

My works touch on the theme of cultural memory and aesthetics of the past. The art of the past can be reinterpreted within the framework of modernity and force the viewer to look into the depths of centuries. The textures of ancient frescoes, the monumentality of antique sculptures, the coloring of Renaissance book miniatures - all this became a source for my creative practice. The combination of elements of graphic drawing, painting and collage helps to achieve the depth of the hospice layer. To convey the effect of "fragility", charcoal, corrugated cardboard and other types of paper are also used in the work. The reworked images of various art trends create a dialogue between tradition and modernity. Member of the International Watercolor Association (IWS).
