Roots; canvas, oil; 2019; 80 x 60 centimeters; 31.4961 x 23.622 inches The roots are really a very special thing. Many legends of ancient shamans about the roots of the great tree of the world. It is along these roots that the shaman descends to the lower world and communicates with the ancestors. In addition, the roots symbolize the ancestors and the genus. And in a more everyday understanding of the root and essence of the problem. This art work is very unusual. It is created in a very special way. And if you feel the same as me in relation to this art work, then you should have it. Art work first written in 2019 immediately after the Christmas holidays. Art work is sold in a roll. So it is much more convenient to deliver it to your city. And you can easily order a stretcher and a frame for it to your taste in your city. If you definitely need art work on a stretcher and with a frame, I can do this for you at an additional cost. Email me if you need so! The price is indicated with the maximum discount! While it can be bought for this price. I will transfer 10% of your purchase to Greenpeace. Because I'm worried about the future of the planet. Artistic Statement I paint large scale contemporary pieces, up to three meters, that combine Expressionism and Abstract Expressionism. Also my artworks are land or seascapes and figurative art. The mix of styles creates is a dialogue between interior emotions and the outside environment. I like to think that all my art comes from a place of optimism and a celebration of life. I believe that the art and objects that we surround ourselves with can motivate people and infuse our lives with positive energy. I have always maintained, and tell my art students, that good art requires steady and constant effort and practice, so I make sure I paint every day. I am also constantly looking for ways to add new elements, stylistically and conceptually, to my work. Bio Aleksandra Cherepanova based in New York, but was born, grew up and was educated in Moscow, Russia. She earned her MFA in painting in 2007 from University Natalia Nesterova in Moscow and relocated to the US in 2020. Over this time, she has received Jury Prizes in many competitions as well as serving as judge for several exhibitions. Aleksandra’s work is also in museums and private collections around the world. Aleksandra now works mainly painting large scale abstract and semi-representational pieces. Additionally, she has an ongoing video series interviewing local NYC artists on YouTube.
