About The Artwork
My garden in summer affords me so many possibilities for paintings! This one is a bush of flowering spirea with the sun shining on the outermost leaves and flowers, and with the trees in the background. It is painted with a palette knife for the ease of applying layer over layer, and with oil paint for the glorious subtle colors I am able to mix. It is painted on the edges, so no frame is required. If the new owner should wish to frame it I would suggest a natural light wood floater frame, or a dark colored frame for added drama. It is wired for hanging.
