This piece is of a shady tree on a bright summer day that sits over a fence leading to a grassy pasture. I used both Acrylic and Oil paints for this piece, both archival in pigments, layering the rich oils over the quickly drying matte acrylics to give the painting's highlights an unmistakable brightness. The material painted on is a wood framed gesso board which has a smooth surface and needs no frame to hang. As always, the painting comes varnished and is only made from the most archival of pigments and mediums.
