While backpacking in the Yellowstone National Park wilderness, we encountered a small fox that decided to follow along with us for a few miles. We watched as it scouted out the area for its next potential meal and stayed alert from potential threats. I created this oil pastel painting on a weathered piece of wood with the grain showing through, adding an intentional natural texture to the scene.
