About The Artwork

"Treble Clef Line" is a mesmerizing abstract acrylic and oil painting that captivates the viewer with its textured abstract style. A young woman, with short dark hair and a meek yet graceful demeanor, sits upon steps, her left breast exposed. Her body becomes a canvas adorned with a collage of colored geometric shapes, creating a dynamic interplay of form and color. Contrasting lighting casts her face and front body into shadow, adding depth and mystery to the composition. Rendered in shades of blue and orange, with hints of purple in the shadows, this piece embodies abstract expressionism and cubist painting techniques. The slender figure of the woman, coupled with the strong composition, invites viewers to contemplate the harmony between shape and shadow. "Treble Clef Line" is a testament to the artist's mastery in creating evocative and thought-provoking abstract figurative paintings. . The dimensions of the painting are W18 x H24 x D0.7 inches. Acrylic & oil portrait, original work created by Alexander Aksyonov

A professional artist, Alexander’s first solo exhibition took place in 1979, where his series of stained glass windows in the student club in Kharkov was presented. He has participated in collective exhibitions, competitions, and is represented in permanent and personal expositions. He has been a freelance artist since 1991. Alexander has achievements in invention, music, choreography, and sports. In 2017, he was the champion of Ukraine in ballroom dancing. He believes that the dance theme is underrepresented in the visual arts. Therefore, in his works, he often pays attention to dancers, their beauty of spirit and imagination, and the beauty of the moment lived in the dance. The artist strives to evoke positive emotions by discussing various life situations using mediums such as oil, acrylic, ink, pigments, pastels, cement, glass, and even coffee. His works center on women as dancers, depicted as the main characters in narratives of love, anticipation, passion, pain, abandonment, desire, and perversion. Alexander defines his works as born out of chaos and confusion, characterized by strong, fast, unfinished, and scratchy lines. These intentional designs are meant to attune the viewer to hope, faith in the good, and the process of creation. He attempts to convey his own emotions and even human nature, not by presenting an exact image of the object or emphasizing the ugly, but by addressing the ambiguous boundary between perfection and incompleteness. He emphasizes and directs the viewer's feelings toward the delight of striving for beauty.
