I found some Greek Mandolin music pages from 1920 that belonged to my father in law, who had immigrated from Greece in 1912. The pages were fragile and old, and I decided that, rather than throw them away, I would make collages from them., I soon found many memories flooding back of early days with my husband in Greece. I have decided to do a series of ten different Greek collage or paintings on paper to commemorate this time. This is a memory of a taverna in Athens with the window open and two glasses of Ouzo. You can see the music pages through the paint. Maybe this will bring back memories for others.
