About The Artwork
Butterflies are the nature incarnation of change, adaptability and evolution in one single little animal which live very little. Based on this, I have always liked butterflies as a rebirth symbol, and I just simply wanted to represent my version of a strong and beautiful butterfly using mixed media. The painting rests in a 0.25 inches wood panel wrapped with canvas and gesso by my own hand. It contains a collage of paper bags, and corrugated cardboard, they are recycled materials. The butterfly was painted with acrylic paint and some water fall effects were added with inks on purple and black colors.

I am a self taught artist located at Mexico City. I started making my own oil work art when I was at high school. Even when I have always had aptitude and love for art, I decided to study Computer Engineering, a quite different discipline which absorbed most of my energy and time ? After I graduated from college I got a job which besides scare me to death, also demanded the most of my time, sadly the last thing I could think about was my art. Later, trying to find my real path in life, I enrolled myself on an IT Management degree career, which allowed me to be in touch with so many passionate people who really really love their jobs, which make me reflect a lot about my future, that is when I decided to resume my truly passion: ART.
