About The Artwork
"Cloud Shadows" is a pastel on paper measuring 18x24 inches and 24x30 inches in a wood frame, depicting a location near Bill's home in the North Georgia Blue Ridge Mountain Range. This year's Autumn leaf color was extra spectacular. Growing up in the flat mid-west, it was love at first sight of the Southern Appalachian mountain range in North Georgia in the early 1960s. He has been inspired by and moved to capture and express the unique beauty of this region and rural culture. At age 93, Bill works daily in his home studio, deep in the woods, atop a mountain near Young Harris College in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range in North Georgia
