In this abstract work, I worked with acrylics and inks to create a dynamic composition that captures the raw energy and emotion of Art Brut and Expressionism. The swirling, almost chaotic shapes and contrasting colors are meant to convey a sense of movement and change. A rhythm that both moves and invites you to pause; it is as if you can sense the reawakening of nature, the return of light. Various shades of grey, white and a warm golden yellow are the defining colors of this abstract painting, balanced by bright, finely structured surfaces and delicate red and blue accents. The variation of apparent blurriness in contrast to sharply contoured surfaces is what makes this painting so appealing. The picture is an invitation to confront deeper feelings and encourages reflection on personal and collective metamorphoses.
