Alexander Valdman has received formal training in drawing, painting and sculpture. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and a Master's degree in Book Design and Illustration. After college, he enjoyed a successful career in graphic design and illustration, working in television and print for companies such as CBS, ESPN and HBO. In recent years, he has returned his focus to fine art. His paintings and drawings feature oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastels as well as experiments with found objects. He specializes in styles ranging from realism to abstract with elements of cubism, surrealism, native and others. His works showcase his bold and unusual perspective and convey his deeply contemplative and spiritual nature. His paintings are part of the permanent collection of the C.A.S.E. Museum of Contemporary Russian Art and featured in private collections all over the world.
