Part of a series of paintings of the location, this work depicts the Ypsilanti Farm Bureau buildings in full morning light, shadows falling onto a worn and weathered tin roof and painted concrete brick surfaces. The painting is an older work, painted with a loose dry brush and dabbing watercolor techniques to capture the mood of the place. The paper is handmade Indian Village paper which has an uneven deckle edge and creates an unusual shape to the painting. It can be matted to crop out the deckle, but has been shown float matted in a shadow box frame. The print can also be matted to either show the deckle edge or crop it out according to preference.
