About The Artwork
This painting was made in 2016 within a "water" series, all in 30 x 40 cm, tempera on wood. Tempera is a medium based on eggs, it is used since the middle ages for painting on wood. It's a translucend painting technique, that gets its deepness and color-richness of the many layers and tones that shine through. All colors within this painting were handmade. The painting was finished with a wax varnish.
