About The Artwork
This work was painted during Covid 19 time. People were hiding in their houses all over the world. Later, the full-scale invasion started by russian Army in Ukraine. Ukrainian families had to hide in the basements and deep underground in the subway stations. This work was exhibited at Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago, March 2022. 22 x 22 inches Original Painting, 2020 acrylic/mixed media on wooden board, framed, painted sides, ready to hang. I was born and raised in former USSR, Ukraine. I immigrated to the USA in 1992. My first art degrees from Myrgorod Ceramics College and Lviv National Academy of Arts are from Ukraine. Later, I did two masters degrees in interdisciplinary art and teaching art from Columbia College, Chicago. Now, I live and work in Chicago. At present, I am a high school art teacher and a visual artist. I've taught visual arts for over 23 years. Currently, I am focusing on painting art works that explore invisible aspects of spiritual world and our desire to see it. Also, I combine abstract with figurative style. Hopefully, my art will resonate with your feelings and mood.
