Peaceful lily pads surround lake reeds. The painting was inspired by a view from the boardwalk at John Chesnut Park in Palm Harbor, Florida. The water is part of Lake Tarpon - at once teeming with alligators and fish and stunning with the quietness of aquatic plants.

My creative journey began some decades ago, when I was an original member of the Boston Visual Artists Union. At the time, I was doing large-scale, hard-edged abstract acrylic paintings. After several years, I transitioned into photography and was fortunate to have Ansel Adams select one of my photographs for the gallery section of his book, "Polaroid Land Photography." I also worked for 12 years in the graphic design business. Later, I did a series of wire sculptures, focusing on birds. Now, living in Florida, my focus has been watercolor painting and photography, which has given me a new way of understanding and seeing nature and of expressing the energy that exists all around us. I am happy to share that energy with you.
