About The Artwork
Seen on a visit to the south coast, the Old Harry Rocks are a famous group of chalk sea stacks, part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. My painting shows the view from Swanage looking eastwards. The near-white of the awe-inspiring cliffs contrasts with the blue of the moderately-rough sea to create a dramatic scene. I used the best quality materials: acid-free Saunders-Waterford paper and professional watercolour paints from a number of manufacturers.
