About The Artwork
Early summer gardens inspired me to pastel these poppies, and it can be depicted with the use of pastels.I hope viewers can feel a freshness, movement, and a touch of mystery in this piece- you don't quite know where you are. I work in pastel because the ability to blend color is exciting and sometime surprising. I can move quickly in this medium, but at the same time slow down to work on bit of detail.
