About The Artwork

This painting has been on a journey. Its first finished image was exhibited in Surbiton. Three years later it became a surface to experiment on once more. I drew on it meditatively. Afterwards, it hung on a wall for weeks until I was sure of what I wanted to draw out, and that was very much, a scorpion. But not so much that eyes could wander into other paths and shapes, but just so its presence was known.

James Lovelock and Jacob Bronowski are two theorists who influence my thought process. In particular, Lovelock voiced that interaction with nature, even if outcomes cannot be articulated, are nevertheless good science. www.hannahbpedersen.com www.etsy.com/uk/shop/TwistedStitchUK
