About The Artwork
This is part of the Secret Dreams series. Shelby is a wire-haired dachshund mix. We think. Maybe. Really I’m not sure but she does hilarious downward dog stretches, digs up grubs in the yard and has the softest fur I’ve ever brushed. I've been experimenting with using different mixed media elements in my work. In this painting, I used ink, wax sticks, chalk pastels and acrylic paint layered with accents of geometric, diamond-shaped metallic art quality stickers with an acrylic medium on stretched canvas.
