Spectra Honu Print

18 X 24 inches acrylic, WC, marker, and found objects on canvas board signed on the front signed, named, and dated on the back I recently visited Hawai'i and was entranced by the grace and beauty of the sea turtles. They look a bit grumpy, (our diving guide found out some really are, hahaha!) but they are gentle creatures. Incredibly beautiful, they glide along, flying in their own world while behind them are creatures of all sorts representing each and every color of the rainbow. There is some 3-D dimensionality to this piece, two strings of paint stand out in relief from the rest of the painting, plus there are a few items that are a little raised. Nothing rises more than 3/4 inches nor is it right on the edge, there's a half inch space all the way around so framing will be a breeze. I create my works with the best materials and use a UV protective, non-yellowing fixative/lacquer to ensure years of vibrancy to come.
