About The Artwork
By using colors often seen in the sky, I wanted to create a scene of motion - a scene of angels lifting into the heavens. Even though there is a feeling of realism, there is also a sense of unknown elements of belief and faith, elements that are only visible in an abstract, invisible form. Taking Flight uses abstraction to feel the pulse of that movement, that invisible belief that there is more to life than reality.
