About The Artwork
This painting was painted en plein air in Buskett forest. It depicts a farmhouse named ‘Tal-Baghal’. The unique features of this farmhouse enticed me to paint it, as did the beauty of the place full of trees. Since it was worked completely on site it has a lot of large brushstrokes which is a feature of enplein air paintings as the artist has to work fast to capture the fleeting moment as light on the subject changes very swiftly. This makes the style also very impressionistic.

Born on the 31st August, 1981 and is from Qormi, Malta. Art is her passion! She is fascinated by colours and the harmony they bring into a composition. Oil is her favourite medium, however she loves painting with acrylic, watercolours and also with soft pastels. She derives inspiration mostly from nature. Whilst painting in her studio she prefers to work with some inspiring musical pieces by various artists namely Ludovico Einaudi which is her favourite, but also Andrea Vanzo and Hans Zimmer. This creates the perfect mood as she shuts off from the outer world and immerses herself into the magical world of art.
