Jeroen van der Beek is born and living in The Netherlands. He graduated from the Minerva Academie (Groningen) in 1985. In the same year he was chosen for the Royal Exhibition for Painting Art in the pallas in Amsterdam. In 1986 he obtained a grant from the government. After setting up some artists initiatives in the eighties, including a galerie for young artists, he worked and exhibited with installations. In the nineties he returned to a more classical painting tradition.
