About The Artwork
I live in a little town at the belgian-french border. When i take a morning walk with my dog , i can see France at the other side of the river. My morning walks inspired me to paint this landscape in an abstract, impressionistic style. I did not use any reference and worked very intuitively with gestural marks and lines and scraping back paint. Although abstract and gestural this painting has the feeling of a traditional landscape due to the earth and natural tones.
