Robert Frost recommended taking "...the road less travelled by". Here in Hawaii, going up the Pali Highway to the Windward side of O'ahu is the "Nu'uanu Pali Drive", a local "...road less travelled by". Before crossing the mountain through the Pali Tunnel, there is a sign that says "Turn Right". It's the original wonder-full roadway across the mountain winding through dense rainforest and dramatic tree tunnels. Today, people usually take the more direct upgraded route on Pali Highway and miss a hidden gem. The arching trees above become the architecture for a vision of "Nature's church" transformed into a luminous stained-glass window.
