About The Artwork
I'm greatly inspired to draw and paint female characters in a surreal but happy setting. This watercolor of The Swimming Goddess was inspired by the feeling of exploring bodies of water and sensing a kind of freedom. The figure I drew is very adapt at swimming, taking on an almost dreamy character. I named her a goddess as she is an inspiration for health, wellness, and a general happy feeling about one's body. Using watercolor on heavy archival paper allows me to get the many hues and shades of translucency and layering.
