This is a special watercolor on board painting - watercolors on a museum quality acid free clay on wood panel. This means that the painting can be framed without glass just like a normal canvas painting. It has a lot of texture as a means of expressing what the seascape means to me. Very light and heavier parts and watermarks make an interesting composition, so this painting is a little gem! 40x30 cm, watercolor, watercolor on aquaboard, UV protection varnish, unframed, ready to hang floating free with hooks on the back, would look better framed with slim white or black floating frame. Signed on the back and Certificate of Authenticity. Some little scratches on the paintings are always part of my painting process and belong to the painting. (c) 2023 Gesa Reuter, all rights reserved

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
