About The Artwork
This portrait was painted from life, in three sessions. The girl cried at the first meeting, saying that I was involuntarily taking out of her the most deeply hidden experiences, all the things she could not think and feel because of the intense pain and lack of understanding of what to do with this pain. And I just look and tell her what's there. And I translate it into painting. Because of these frozen states, the palette was very cold in the beginning. In subsequent meetings, the palette warmed a little, expanded, and with it my model warmed and expanded. At the last session, even my faithful cat Alice entered the painting and stayed there.
