About The Artwork
Visiting the Van Vleck Garden in Montclair, New Jersey, I was struck by the subtlety of the colors of the flowers and foliage along the paths. I was transpired and hope my viewers will be amazed and beguiled and wish to visit Montclair and see for themselves! The painting is done with oil paint for the unlimited hues that can be obtained by mixing colors, and with a palette knife for the ease of blending the colors as I go. It is wired for hanging, and I leave the choice of frame to a new owner.
