Velor: Velor is understood to mean fabrics that have a velvet-like, pleasantly soft surface structure and that are well suited, for example, for beautiful upholstery, carpets, or for many other purposes. Velor resembles the so-called plush, but is slightly thinner. The paintings shown have an originally real place - the bed. By highlighting certain details and the restricted area, the beds slide into the surreal. The mistaken use of colors and the painted material transform cushions and mattresses into something new, something organic. Superficially speaking, one could speak of bedstill still life, whereby the pictures disguise a fragile, temporally limited scene, which is strongly connected with the existence of humans.
