My name is MG Stout, and I am a self-taught artist with a background in philosophy. Over the past 20 years, I have committed myself to painting as a means of self-expression and community connection. My journey into the world of art began as a deeply personal endeavor to work through depression. Over time, it evolved into a passionate pursuit of creating joyful and meaningful works that resonate with me and others. My inspiration stems from a rich tapestry of influences, including abstract expressionists, philosophical inquiries, Dr. Seuss, street art, and Dadaism. Each piece I create is a vibrant fusion of styles and ideas, reflecting my exploration of life's profound questions and capturing the essence of what it means to be human.
