About The Artwork
Taking time to appreciate the peace and beauty of my local woodland inspired me to paint this image. Although recent times has brought some sorrow, it has also given us the opportunity to reconnect with nature and time to let our imaginations wonder and daydreams to take place. I hope my work speaks to people and will take them to a happier place. The images and scenes that I happen upon during my walking are depicted in translucent layers of loose water colour painting giving a dreamlike impression, I then build upon these textural layers using Pen & Ink for increasing detail. I aim to capture fleeting images and moments in time remembered with imagination. This work is painted with Winsor and Newton professional Water Colour paints on Sanders best water colour paper.
