Lost Landscapes #77 Print

I was born in 1980 in Prague in the former Czechoslovakia. I was active in music for a while, playing in a few bands and accompanying DJ's and sound systems by playing live guitar and bass. ​ In 2004 I moved to London, where I still live today. After five years in London I went to the US for a year where I started to take an active part in photography. Since then I have focused fully on visual work and have rotated through many different styles and techniques. I enjoy creatively experimenting with image form and imagination, I also like inventing new and original methods of creating. For some pieces, I print them and then paint on them, for others I utilise digital painting tools. I also occasionally colourise them. The other unusual techniques that I use include freezing the prints and experimenting with water and bubbles as a material to enrich my compositions. For example the series "Restart Awakening". Restart (Awakening) #48 | 2021 .jpg I also do hand-cut collages and often work with infrared photography. As a result of the use of more complex processes and combinations of unusual techniques, my work can move away from traditional photography and resemble more of a graphic or painting. Due to my often use handmade editing technique, my work acquires its own style on the border between digital and analogue style, e.g. the "Lost Landscapes" series. Haunted forest _ Lost landscapes #86 v2.jpg The form of my work is mostly dark and surreal, with mysterious and even psychedelic content. I've had 4 solo exhibitions in London and Prague. My work has been used on CD covers, vinyl, theatre posters, books and have also been featured in art magazines. Some of the photographs are in the collections of private art collectors or used as original decorations.
