This was one of those wonderful accidents. I wanted to make eggs, huge eggs. I loved the symbol of growing and building in safe hibernation. Of brewing life, of transformation. This was a tool I made to make knee high eggs. Due to it having porous properties it bled the color of what it was molding from the inside out. The colors changed throughout the week, darkening and merging more and more to then, months later, fade out to dusty grey. Another heavy and fragile piece that I can't let go of. I don't seem to want to use sensible materials to make eggs with either. Leaves, fir trees, wax and string have been my main egg making materials, they don't last long but then that's quite fitting. An egg is a stage, not a finality.
