About The Artwork

I have always been attracted to simple, nonrepresentational and forms in sculpture, drawing inspiration from sculptors including Henry Moore and Alexander Calder. I am attracted to clean lines and smooth surfaces, something that plaster's versatility allows me to achieve. I enjoy working in white media, as it is particularly sensitive to light and shows shadows well. Creating abstract forms allows me to explore the balance between negative and positive space. This piece's floral foam core makes it lightweight and delicate. It comes on the wood base pictured. This piece is featured in BG Gallery's Circular exhibit, May-June 2018 in Santa Monica, CA.
